Power outages can be caused by the loss of the electricity supply to our community, equipment failure, weather conditions, tree contact, wildlife interference, or vehicle accidents. We isolate many outages by using remotely-operated switches, which lessen the impact to the number of customers affected by the outage. Cambridge and North Dumfries emergency crews are then sent out rapidly to make repairs and restore power to customers.
