NEW ENVIRONMENT AWARD “EXCELLENCE IN ENERGY CONSERVATION”
CAMBRIDGE, Ont. - Saving energy and saving money is top of mind for businesses in Ontario. In a continuing quest to promote energy conservation, Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc. are pleased to announce a new Environment Award – “Excellence in Energy Conservation”.
John Grotheer, President & CEO stated, “this award will recognize a business that embraces sustainable best practices and outstanding programs designed to maintain, protect and promote a healthy environment. Nominees shall demonstrate success in the areas of energy use reduction, energy alternatives and/or the adoption, implementation or adherence to environmentally friendly business practices on a company wide basis.
The award will be administered through the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce at their annual gala Bell Business Awards evening in March. An independent panel of judges appointed by the Chamber will be looking for a company of strength that engage best practices to promote a healthy environment through reduced use of energy. The exceptional company will show evidence supporting active engagement of their employees in cultivating good energy saving habits at work, at home and in their community.
According to Grotheer, “by showcasing best environmental practices and celebrating innovative conservation strategies of businesses, we promote energy champions for the province.
