EARTHWISE AMBASSADORS CLEAN UP ON EARTH DAY!
CAMBRIDGE, Ont. - Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc. employees are doing their part on Earth Day. This year hydro volunteers will join together on Earth Day and clean up litter along a 3.5 kilometre stretch on Hespeler Road adopted through the Region’s Adopt- A- Road Program.
John Grotheer, President of hydro stated “he was proud of the employees’ volunteerism. Over the last year, we have been committed to educating staff about energy conservation. We rely on them as our ’Conservation Ambassadors’ in the community. And, just like energy conservation, when people commit to change their habits about saving energy or saving our environment –it adds up to big gains for the individual and the community”.
During the week to raise environmental awareness the company’s Environment Committee distributed earth friendly energy conservation kits to every employee.
The company is a strong advocate of environmental responsibility and puts into practice – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle where possible.
“As a company, we deliver, said Grotheer, “and to us that means we have a responsibility to our community to deliver the best in everything we do”!
