HYDRO PROMOTES “EARTH DAY” ENERGY CHAMPIONS WILL HAND OUT FREE ENERGY KITS

CAMBRIDGE, Ont. - Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc. volunteers are gearing up to celebrate Earth Day by handing out Free Energy Kits to residents of the City of Cambridge and the Township of North Dumfries.

Volunteers from Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro will promote energy conservation with a display at the Cambridge Centre Mall on Friday April 20th and Saturday April 21st .

John Grotheer, President of CND Hydro said “he was proud of the team volunteering to hand out Free Energy Kits to customers. Promoting energy conservation to celebrate Earth Week is a perfect fit. Our team is committed to promoting the theme “saving energy for a brighter future”.

Over the course of two days the volunteer “Energy Champions” are gearing up to distribute some 2,500 Energy Kits. Each kit contains energy efficient light bulbs, a shower timer, an LED nightlight, a refrigerator thermostat, foam draft switch and outlet gaskets and a card of Energy Saving Tips – all neatly packed in a Shower Flow Meter Bag.

As an added bonus, visitors will get to meet “Switch”, Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc.’s larger than life Energy Champion mascot. Switch will be making some guest appearances helping the team to promote energy conservation.

Grotheer said, “Our environment is important to us. As a company, “we deliver” – to us that means we have a responsibility to our communities to deliver the best of everything we do!
