Third Party Notification

Special Services for Special People...

At Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro, we recognize that not all of our customers have the same needs. As a result, we have tried to provide a number of different service options that meet the varying needs of all customers. For customers who are away for extended periods, have a disability, or a language problem, we offer a "Third Party Notification" program.

Do you know someone who, because of health or language problems, has difficulty paying their power bills on time? Are there people you know who could mislay or misunderstand a collection notice? Ever gone on vacation and forgotten to arrange to pay your hydro bill?

If so, we offer a service that gives you peace of mind. Third Party Notification provides a kind of a "Buddy System" to ensure that we have someone else we can contact in the event of a problem.

A buddy can be a friend, neighbour or a relative. Should a payment problem arise, the buddy can act as a go between to explain the situation to the customer or help to make satisfactory payment arrangements. The 3rd party is in no way responsible for payment of the bill. But, if we can get in touch with your buddy it may help us to settle a problem and eliminate an unnecessary disconnection of power.

If you know of someone (maybe even yourself) who would like to take advantage of our "Buddy System", contact one of our Customer Care Representatives at 1-519-621-3484 to find out how to participate. We'll need both parties' signatures. If you know others who should have a buddy, please let them know about this program as well.
