Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc. Conditions of Service Document

Every electricity distributor in Ontario is responsible to prepare a "Conditions of Service" document to effectively relay its operating practices, the types and level of service offered to customers within its service area, and its connection policies.

In accordance with the Distribution System Code (DSC), Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc. has finalized its Conditions of Service document and it is posted here in Adobe PDF format for your reference. The document was filed with our regulator, the Ontario Energy Board (OEB), on May 1, 2003.

Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc . is obliged to provide advance public notice of any changes to its Conditions of Service. The Ontario Energy Board will always be provided with and will retain on file a current copy of our Conditions of Service.

This document is both detailed and lengthy. For ease of use to the reader, it has been segregated into distinct sections: The Introduction, Distribution Activities (General), a Customer Class Specific Section and Appendix A containing Core Area Maps.

The Introduction covers a broad range of information relating to our Corporate Structure, Territory of Service, Governing Laws, Contact Information, Customer Rights, Distributor Rights including access to Customer Property, Safety, Operating Controls, Repairs of Customer Equipment, Repairs of Physical Structures, Testing Customer Load, Automatic Re-Closing Facilities and Disputes.

The Distribution Activities (General) contains references to services and requirements that are common to all customer types. This section includes information about Connections, Disconnection, Disconnection for Non-Payment/Theft, Conveyance of Electricity, Tariffs and Charges.

The Customer Class Specific area, houses information about services and requirements specific to a customer class, including Residential, General Service, Embedded Generation, Wholesale Market Participant, Embedded Distributor, Unmetered Connections, Street Lighting, Traffic Signals and Pedestrian Cross Walk Signals/Beacons, and other Miscellaneous Metered Loads.

Appendix A, contains Core Area Drawings of Galt, Preston and Hespeler.

CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

The document as posted is subject to change. Any revisions will be incorporated with each submission to the Ontario Energy Board and the most current version will be made available here.

Our Conditions of Service describe how we conduct business with our customers.

A number of changes have been made to codes and regulations that we follow. Based on those changes and other improvements we have made in our processes, Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc. are revising our Conditions of Service.

In order to assist our customers in identifying what has changed, we have marked the changes in bold italic font, throughout the document.
