Community Relations
The Heat Bank is a heating assistance program co-ordinated through The Region of Waterloo. What makes this program unique is that it provides assistance to individuals regardless of the type of heating they use.
Cambridge and North Dumfries Hydro Inc. is proud to be a founding contributor to The Heat Bank program for the benefit of the community. We believe the program can help to relieve the financial burden of heating costs for those in need.
The Heat Bank can provide one time per year emergency assistance when other avenues have been exhausted including recourse through Regional Social Services and non-eligibility through other programs such as the Share the Warmth program.
If we all work together, we can help ensure that The Heat Bank will continue to excel as a unique and successful program dedicated to extending a helping hand to neighbours in our community.
